About the job

A Site Manager is required for Royal Marsden Hospital to manage the Call Handlers/Patient Escorts and Patient Transport Service (PTS) staff. If you have in depth knowledge of PTS or able to build up customer portfolios within NHS Trusts while focusing on the implementation and embedding of new organizational structure including the changes following the centralized Dispatch and Planning departments, we would love to hear from you.

Primary Tasks

1. Regular and responsive contact with Hospital sites, trust staff, Managers and Commissioners

2. Line management and development of Call Handler/Patient Escort and PTS staff at the site

3. On site contract implementation and delivery.  Ensuring KPI’s are delivered, working in close liaison with Dispatch and Planning

4. Supporting the operational teams in the timely discharge of inpatients, collection of returning outpatients or dialysis patients

5. Train Trust staff how to use the booking system and referring any queries which cannot be covered locally

6. Identify and implement potential enhancements to the operation of the service to improve effectiveness and client satisfaction and share best practice and innovation


Strategic Projects

1. Implementation and embedding of new organizational structure, culture and values, including the changes following the centralized dispatch and planning departments

2. Build Customer portfolio within Trust staff

3. Report and summarise key stage developments at monthly contract review meetings supporting Regional Contract Manager
