As an Ambulance Care Assistant, your role will be filled with variety where no two days are the same. Your main purpose is to provide and maintain a caring environment for non-emergency patients, transporting them to and from where they are receiving treatment. You will be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, whilst displaying a ‘people focussed’ approach, to make our patients feel comfortable and cared for, from start to finish.
Whilst providing a caring service to our patients, we must ensure that patient safety and comfort remains paramount. As a result, we issue our teams with XDA’s to report any defects following routine vehicle/ equipment checks. You will be responsible for driving safely and responsibly, re-stocking supplies within the ambulance, in addition to carrying out risk assessments, reducing risks to yourself, colleagues and patients. Bonus payment is available for staff that consistently demonstrates high performance in driving standards.
To be shortlisted for this role you will have:
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence held for at least 3 years
- No more than 6 points/ endorsements on your driving licence
- Excellent customer service skills
- Willingness to learn
