This exciting opportunity is perfect for a proactive, reliable and driven individual seeking a fresh new challenge in a rewarding and trusted position.

Falck is a global leader in the provision of Patient Transport services and as a ‘people helping people’ business we know that having the right team is essential to delivering our very high standards of patient care. With this in mind, we want to attract people who share the same values and behaviours as we do, which are centred on being reliable, customer focussed and going the extra mile.

We are looking for more than just experienced drivers. We are looking for individuals who can demonstrate a warm, positive and people focussed attitude and who will go above and beyond to make our patients feel comfortable and cared for. You don’t need previous qualifications, or even experience in this field; all we ask is that you are willing to learn and can provide excellent customer service to our patients.

As an Ambulance Care Assistant, your role will be filled with variety where no two days are the same. Your main purpose is to provide and maintain a caring environment for non-emergency patients, transporting them to and from where they are receiving treatment. You will be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, whilst displaying a ‘people focussed’ approach, to make our patients feel comfortable and cared for, from start to finish.

Whilst providing a caring service to our patients, we must ensure that patient safety and comfort remains paramount. As a result, we issue our teams with XDA’s to report any defects following routine vehicle/ equipment checks. You will be responsible for driving safely and responsibly, re-stocking supplies within the ambulance, in addition to carrying out risk assessments, reducing risks to yourself, colleagues and patients. Bonus payment is available for staff that consistently demonstrates high performance in driving standards.

To be shortlisted for this role you will have:

• Full UK Manual Driving Licence held for at least 3 years
• No more than 6 points/ endorsements on your driving licence
• Excellent customer service skills
• Willingness to learn

What you can expect in return?

• Ongoing training
• Assigned mentors
• Competitive salary
• Cycle to work scheme
• Flexible work schedules
• 3% Employer Pension contribution
• Company sick pay & holiday scheme
• Eligibility to join blue light discount service
• Access to Employee Assistance Programme
• 28 days’ annual leave (including Bank Holidays)
• Progression plan within EMS (Emergency Medical Services)
