Overcoming the Covid19 Supply Chain Challenge
Reliance on supply chain has never been as important and the challenges never greater as in the last few weeks to ensure we can manage the safety of our colleagues and patients.
As part of a large global organisation, our procurement team have been planning for the Coronavirus outbreak in the UK since the start of the crisis in January.
As the situation has progressed, the team have been coordinating with our key suppliers both in the UK and overseas to ensure we have been able to secure enough PPE such as masks, gloves, sanitiser and other clinical consumables to ensure we are able to keep our patients, colleagues and their families safe.
Head of Fleet and Procurement, Nick Watts, supported by Chloé Masson Masson our Process Manager and Callum Laidlaw our Supply Chain Assistant, have been working tirelessly and with tenacity to secure adequate PPE and stocks for our operational teams to maintain sufficient stocks every day.
Huge well done, appreciation and thanks to our procurement team in the UK.
Thanks also go to our colleagues in Denmark in providing access to the Falck Global Chain resources to ensure we can secure further critical stocks to maintain the ever increasing demand.
