Winning Behaviour Awards 'Thank you Thursday'
This weeks 'Thank You Thursday' goes to Mary Allen!
We are really proud to be able to share that Mary has just presented the Paul Popham Fund with a cheque for £920 which she managed to raise throughout last year.
Mary is a Senior Ambulance Care Assistant working for Falck who lives and works in Swansea. A large part of our work in Swansea involves transporting patients to and from their essential dialysis appointments. Over the years, Mary and the team in Swansea have formed close relationships with the patients they transport along with their families so when she was thinking of supporting a charity, the Paul Popham Fund seemed to be a natural choice as they provide vital support to renal patients of all ages in Wales.
Last year Mary organised a disco and karaoke for the patients and staff along with raffles and quiz nights and she is already in the process of arranging her next event which is being held next month.
Mary doesn't know this yet, but one of her colleagues in Swansea has nominated her for a Winning Behaviour award for her continued commitment to raising money for the fund and states 'not only is Mary our Senior Care Assistant but she also mobilises for the Agile Response Unit and worked as a Covid 19 driver in both London and Swansea during the height of the pandemic, so as you can imagine her down time is precious ..despite her work commitments, Mary still finds the time to help others'
Since being involved with the charity, Mary has raised in the region £2,500. This is an amazing achievement and one which is greatly appreciated by the charity and all those who the money will have helped.
Well done Mary. This is a great example of colleagues demonstrating our Winning Behaviours in everything they do!
